We had no idea back in 1993 that Jolea would be making her living on the water when she grew up. We just lived close enough to the coast to be effected by the coastal weather.

My kids are also real good chart and may readers... they give good directions and rarely get lost. They know east from west when they are standing out in the open. They were meant to travel. Jeff leaves for Jolea's island on Wed. then a week later off to backpack Europe.judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04070661448170951709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4536178143044022197.post-55795225281126707932008-08-24T13:50:00.000-07:002008-08-24T13:50:00.000-07:00I wish for $1,000,000 US (which means I would get ...I wish for $1,000,000 US (which means I would get it in the form of an invoice from the IRS).
I wish to look and feel 30 again (which means I would get it in the form of bad haircut and a hangover).

Sounds like you taught your kids "Tropical Weather 101"!Jim and Heather on Meerkathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12952729809478329589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4536178143044022197.post-12021737044384592592008-08-24T10:51:00.000-07:002008-08-24T10:51:00.000-07:00That's weird Jolea and I were just going back and ...That's weird Jolea and I were just going back and forth on my blog telling each other 'be careful what you wish for.'

That storm is moving around just like Fay did on the eastern side.

I miss that about living in South Texas... watching which way the storm was heading. We used to keep a laminated chart up of the Gulf so the kids could chart the storms all season. They would used different colored pens for TS or Hurricane.judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04070661448170951709noreply@blogger.com
