If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...
Oh gee, what fun we had this day last year. Yep, launch from the boatyard and Hurricane Prep Day! Preparing for this:Well you all know it turned out ok and we are still avoiding hurricanes like the plague alive and well living the high life far, far and away from the hurricane zone. so glad that is over! Ventura may be cold but at least there are NOT any hurricanes. Haul out is going well...just need some parts..it is so much fun to be here....Navy sounding taps, cold wind off the bay right into the cabin and the most fun is the trains that go throught the yard every night...screeching, banging and waking us up from a sound sleep! AGHHHHHH
We cruised Mexico's West Coast for 3 years on our prior boat, "Thistle" a Columbia 50. Went back to California in 2000 and bought the "new boat" in 2004. We then spent a year and a half cruising in Mexico. We just did the "Baja Bash" ~ sailed up the outside of Baja and returned to SoCal! We are We are now back to work for awhile...

Hope you are staying warm AND avoiding hurricanes!
We are just getting the boat work done so we can sail again. Hopefully, we have stalled long enough to miss any major storms.
Miss you guys!
