Suicidal squids have left their marks. So we peel them off the deck and
Along with a few flying fish...
One who ended his flying fish life peacefully in our dinghy.
So now we sit at anchor in Muertos waiting for a Norther to blow through.
We watch whales cruise by the anchorage with whale watching pangas way too close to them.We read.
We make french toast out of stale bread.
We bake fresh bread.
We swim.
We get over our colds.
We enjoy the beautiful turquoise water.
We see that the restaurant has put out a little dinghy dock.We go to the restaurant on the beach and have giant hamburgers, fries and ice cold beers. We sleep.
We listen to weather and the nets.
We doink around on the internet.
We wash dishes.
We watch three boats sail around the anchorage chasing each other.
We read some more.
We enjoy this Norther.

Sounds like the perfect day to me!
How are you getting internet connectivity in Muertos?

The perfect life....
Times have changed down here Eric! The restaurant puts a signal out and we have a big antenna. It's called the "wi-fi method of anchoring". Anchor where you get a signal! The restaurant gives you the code - they want you to come in, eat & drink, so it's all good!
While you are there... don't forget to check out the resort across the bay. The pools (bring your suits), the train room upstairs, plus the great snorkeling just off the beach. It is worth the trip!
this is so inspiring!
wow! That's great!
I feel so old.
:)

Oh, boy, sounds like you had tons of FUN...not. How scary Jim going up in 20+ knots of wind! I didn't notice any dead sea life on our boat...could have been though!
Boring being on the hard....can't get internet on the boat either....windy as heck here at night. My chest is still hurting but getting better s l o w l y .

I'dve done deep fried squid rings... Just sayin'
Glad you guys made it back to the sea safely and I know you are happy that 27 hour stint is over. Times surely have changed as I remember the only thing there was a palapa selling bread and pizzas.
