Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

New Tree Product!

When you own a monohull and are anchored in a rolly anchorage, you will often put out what is called a "flopper-stopper".
A piece of equipment you hang off of your boom on one side of the boat in the water to keep you from rolling back and forth.
Sometimes they are two pieces of plastic framed in metal that open and shut like a barn door.
Sometimes they are a group of plastic "Mexican Hats" that are spaced along a long line.

Apparently they now have flopper-stoppers for trees.Someone must have been concerned about this tree being planted in a rolly sidewalk during Tropical Depression Lowell.
