Yahoo, it's the start of the Jim Fest Road Trip!
Dave and Kellie took the 8 am shuttle in, so we were on the road by 9 am.
It was very, very green in the mountains South of La Paz, with beautiful bright yellow and vibrant red flowers.
Stopped at our favorite roadside restaurant in San Bartolo (for Marvin).Note to self: split the order of machaca and eggs between two people next time. Huge.
Then on along the "East Cape" and in to San Jose del Cabo.
Found Hotel Posada Terranova quickly and even a parking space right in front!
The let us check in early ~ yipee, so immediately set up the bar.
Notice the perfectly matching mermaids.
Then to Baja Brewing Company!
The whole reason for San Jose!
Unfortunately, they were out of Pale Ale...
I enjoyed a raspberry lager!
Still disgustingly full from breakfast, it was time for a walk.
So we meandered around town and showed Dave and Kellie the church, town square and beautiful buildings. And found a tequila store complete with tequila tastings...The guys tried a few and the girls tried a couple of the flavored ones.
They had jamaica, pomegranate, vanilla, almond, some fruits we had never heard of, coffee and more.
Then figured we should have a pomegranate margarita at El Comal, where we had our dinner on our sailing trip down to La Paz.
More beautiful doorways and buildings, along with some strange artwork.
It was also ELECTION DAY IN THE USA, so back to the rooms for CNN watching and chicken foot dominoes.Once we felt that the results were going in the right direction, it was time to head out for dinner.
San Jose del Cabo is known for art galleries ~ many with some beautiful items!Ate dinner at an Italian restaurant in a lovely courtyard ~ pizza, minestrone soup and lasagna.
Walked back to the hotel along another street, enjoying the window displays, doorways and lighting.
More CNN watching.
Oh what RELIEF!
Now if only the next 77 days or however long it is until the new president takes office would just FLY BY!
In the shots of The White House, we kept hoping to see a moving van pulling up.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Mr. Shrub.
