Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

Barra de Navidad Lagoon!

Well, we have daysailed across Banderas Bay.
Spent a night in Punta de Mita.
Went to Chamela.
Cruised through Careyas.
Went in to both anchorages at Tenacatita.
Did the jungle cruise at Tenacatita.
Anchored at Melaque and met up with John and Debby of "Lovely Reta" along with Rick and Karen of "Eyes of the World".
Had a noodle party under "Meerkat" yesterday and are now anchored in the lagoon at Barra.
We have 3 other boats coming over for a "birthday party for no one", so the updates and pics will get uploaded manana.
In the meantime, here is the Google Earth shot of the lagoon.Look familiar Kirby, Suzie, Ray, Lucy, Steve, Mollie and the rest of the cruising gang from way back when?

Yep, it looks extremely familiar. Of course Barra is another place we spent an awful lot of time. So much time that on one occasion when we weighed anchor I had to scrub the chain on the bow of the boat before we could put it in the anchor well. I ended up letting it dry and spent a great deal of time scraping instead of enjoying our trip to Manzanillo. Hey, I prefer you jogging the good memories!
