Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

Old Town Mazatlan

I had forgotten how beautiful Old Town Mazatlan is!
The buildings!
The narrow clean streets!
The courtyards!
The squares!
The fountains!
The trees!
The gazebos!
The outdoor cafes!

After visiting the cathedral, we ran into Eric of "Sidetrack" (Ariel's brother's ex-boat) walking along the street.

Ten minutes later we ran into Wally and Linda of "Andanzas"!

So, what we know 10-15 people in Mazatlan and run into 3 on our trip into Old Town?
Here we go again...

We visited the Museo Arqueologico.
Wandered more streets.
Poked into pretty shops filled with classy artwork.
Found interesting signs.

All that walking made us thirsty, so we stopped at a sidewalk cafe in Plaza Machado for margaritas and pineapple juice! Then off to the Central Market for fresh veggies and fruits ~ a whole other post!

I'd never seen pictures of Mazatlan and didn't realize how very pretty it would be. Sorry now I never got there, but your photos almost make up for it.
