Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

Tuesday 03-25-08 - Frailes

Usual morning stuff of coffee and the net.
Talked to "Sweet Lorraine" (friends from Ventura) who were over on the mainland somewhere.
Then received a VHF call from the National Geographic vessel "Sea Lion" who had Stan's sister Maggie and her husband Bob aboard! So they got to chat on VHF!

Tim went fishing in the kayak.

The rest of us went to the beach in the dinghy. The beach was beautiful with small chunks of coral and a few shells. On the North end there are camping palapas.

The guys walked back & got the dinghy and met us at the North end of the beach - rocky with a drop-off, so kind of hard to get back in the dinghy! Pam and I were wet up past our waists...

But with 75 degree water we went for a swim!

Jim & I took a dinghy ride up the coast along these incredible rock formations!

Watched the sea lions watch us - some of them got pretty close to the dinghy!

Then the rest of the gang took the dinghy for a cruise. They came back smiling!

Swam under the boat in the 75 degree water.

Had hora feliz with the cheese dip Don & Judy gave us (Yum!)

Made burritos for dinner and off to bed early as we had the trip to Muertos the next day.
