I had a nice flight to Manzanillo airport. Had a great view of Bahia de Los Angeles on the Baja side, Punta de Mita, La Cruz & Yelapa in Banderas Bay, and Ipala, Chamela, Tenacatita and Bahia de Navidad along Mexico's "Gold Coast". Jim met me at the airport with "Jungle Joe" (Chris & Lorry's little friend we used to hang out with 7 & 8 years ago), an orchid and a sign Jungle Joe made! Chris was taking pictures of the long hug Jim, Jungle Joe and I shared! Got into the "woodie" - Chris's mahogany truck (yes it is made of wood) for the warm drive through the palm and banana tree lined roads to Barra de Navidad. I recognized Cihuatlan (town) and then Barra! I didn't recognize their house until we pulled up to it. Lorry greeted us and Jim made margaritas. We watched a man across the channel dropping coconuts to the people below on the ground. It was great to see their boat again, be in their house and just BE THERE! Ariel and Alan came from the marina via panga - more hugs and smiles. Chris and Lorry made us an incredible dinner of bacon-wrapped blue and striped marlin, salad, garlic bread, twice-baked potatoes and vegetables on the grill. We finished off with the pineapple upside down cake Chris made. Piled into a panga across the lagoon to the marina where "Guavi" was tied up. Unloaded the parts and a few things for the guys and to bed!
