Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

Party on the Big Boat! (still Easter Sunday)

What a great surprise to return to the marina and find Tony & Annie Camacho (we stayed in their condo in Puerto Vallarta for 5 weeks in 2000 & cat-sat Gabby the spoiled cat when "Thistle" was getting painted) and Jan Kettler of "Picante" ("Jim & Jan" who always worked so hard on the Regatta & Jim was our wonderful part-finder in PV - we miss him!) in the marina!! We really surprised Jan, as she had no idea we would be there! They were delivering a "big boat" and then taking another one back to PV.

We spent a few hours on the back deck draining their beer supply, playing with Annie's incredibly cool dog "Itsy" (ha ha Gabby, you now have to share Annie with a dog!), and swinging in a hammock chair off of the dinghy hoist!

Chris way up there!

The people going by in the pangas thought we were nuts... the perfect time for a Latitude 38 shot complete with the bunny ear glasses! Chris, Lorry, Jan, Jim & I all tried it - couldn't get Ariel or Alan up there though.

"Picante Jan"

Tony enjoyed our screams of "Up, Up, Up" when he came close to dunking more than just our feet... after all we are in a lagoon, and lagoons in Mexico do have crocodiles.

Itzy the cool dog!
