Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

Someone Turned the Switch Off

It's 69 degrees outside at 8:30 in the morning!
It only got up to about 80 degrees yesterday!
I put a shirt on with sleeves!
Yes, SLEEVES!
I haven't had a t-shirt with sleeves on since April...
It feels strange.
There is a blanket on the bed!
My hands were cold last night.
I'm not sweating.
I even put a long sleeve shirt on for awhile last night when I was reading in the cockpit at dusk.
It's so weird...
A week ago we were sweating, it was 95 degrees and we just wanted it to cool off.
Now we are confused.
I honestly thought it would be a gradual weather change, but no, it really was like someone turned the switch off.
I would like to thank that someone.

that's the way it is here-hot hot hot, then overnight-click, it's cold. this week it's in the low 60's but will be back in the 80's by the weekend.

I actually had to use 2 blankets the past 3 nights. It has been cold here.

We get that same thing here... hot and then flip the switch overnight and freeze your butt off. Were due a good hard freeze this weekend. Jolea is scared...she's not been below 32 degrees in as long time.
