We are trying to get into the Christmas spirit, even when it's 82 degrees outside.
So last night Jim put on our favorite Christmas CD.
Yes, the one by Jethro Tull.

And we even pulled out our Christmas tree and all seven of the large ornaments we brought down.
The tree is all of 8".
Bought back in Manzanillo in 1999 for 10 pesos.
Of course it's decorated with tiny shells, starfish and sea urchin shells all found in the Sea of Cortez.
The tree top is a really strange vertebra we found that looks like an angel.
Way cool stuff!
We sat in the cockpit with some Noche Buena beer, a nice candle burning, our party cockpit lights and Christmas music playing.
Two boats out at anchor had Christmas lights on.Beautiful!
But is still doesn't feel like Christmas...

wow! that is so cool. I think the creepy angel is really neat. I am going to play christmas music while baking gingerbread molasses cookies this afternoon. :)
Get that candle away from that tree Girl!!! You'll burn down the whole east end of town. And careful with that alcohol and Christmas Music you may incite a riot or a dance or caroling or something. A JUBILEE! That's it, you'll have a Jubilee!
I love your tree. Better than I ever had on a boat. I have a real (fake) tree this year with lovely lights and ornaments that Jake keeps stealing. It is a great game. But "I love my tree!". First one in many many years!

The candle was just next to it for the photo - kind of like Overboard putting her wine on her keyboard... yeah something about fires on boats scare the crap out of me.
Yea for fake trees! I don't even have to take the decorations off of this one - just shove it back in the box. Except for the COOL angel - she gets wrapped up.
Mmmmmm gingerbread molasses cookies. Is there anything you can't cook?
It doesnt feel like christmas in tahoe either... because we have no snow.
