Looking for a Catamaran Cruising Blog?

If you found this blog via a link from a cruising site ~ we did cruise Mexico on our Ocean 49 cat for a season. See the first text box on the right for links to our preparations, trip down Baja, life in Mexico, cruising and trip back up to SoCal. Unfortunately we are back to the grind in the USA...

Sundays at The Garage Bakery (or so we think...)

We went by The Garage Bakery late yesterday (almost 8 pm) to see if they had any bread left and luckily got the last two teleras (bread for tortas) of the day!
And saw this on their counter:Sorry, I guess I should have taken the picture from the other end, so you would be looking at pig neck instead of pig butt...
A pig stuffed and ready to be roasted!
Probably one of Pinky's relatives...
Jim asked if they were going to have a family fiesta manana and what we got out of Mr. Garage Baker's extremely rapid Spanish was that they roast a pig and lots of fish every Sunday and then sell it.
Guess were we need to go for a walk in awhile?

Even though I have leftover this for dinner...Vegetable Pa-nang that doesn't have much spice to it ~ I think the curry paste was old or got overheated, but it was still good!

Eek! Well, that's helped kick-start my run-up-to-the-vacation diet.

eeewwww-now seeing bacon or pork chops all santitary in plastic is one thing, but seeing the poor little piggy who went to the market and got his head chopped off is another!
