It's put on by Club Cruceros - www.clubcruceros.org - they take donations from boaters, raffle items from businesses, anyone can purchase (mainly locals buying stuff, but at great prices!) things and all proceeds go to the foundation. There was a lineup of locals outside the gate waiting for it to open! Lots and lots of locals buying clothes. And some you knew were very poor, but at the end all the items are 1 peso each (about 8 cents), so it's all good!
Yes, everyone wins. We get rid of stuff we really don't need, locals get new clothes and things, and the poor kids get food and clothing. Probably 100 boaters worked today. I was too busy to ever really look around. I did go pee twice though!
